Clonmany boxer Keelan Kearney claims multi nations gold in Dublin

Keelan Kearney was victorious at the weekend.

St Bridget’s, Clonmany boxer Keelan Kearney won gold at the Dublin Multi Nations at the weekend.

Kearney, an Irish Boy 1 finalist earlier this year, won the 48kgs title at the tournament held in Monkstown BC.

On Saturday, Kearney overcame Eddie Lawrence from Dublin, taking a unanimous decision.

Kearney followed up with a superb victory over Scottish champion Aaron Napier in Sunday’s final. Napier took a count under a barrage of body blows from Kearney in the second round.

Kearney was given a unanimous decision to take the gold back to Clonmany.

Also this year, Kearney - who lost out to Andrew Corcoran (Titans) in the Boy 1 final - won the Ulster 9 County and Halloween Box Cup titles at 48kgs.
