Council’s Portnablagh Active Travel plans available for inspection

Public can inspect Portnablagh Active Travel Plans in Lifford or Dungloe
Donegal County Council is pressing ahead with the N56 Portnablagh Active Travel Scheme, with plans for the proposed pedestrian and cyclist facility available for public inspection at council facilities in Lifford and Dungloe.
The scheme is for a shared three-metre-wide pedestrian/cyclist facility on the south side of the N56, with the carriageway narrowed to between 6.25 metres and 6.75 metres to accommodate the active travel development, while maintaining two-way traffic, whilst also ensuring a half metre hard shoulder.
Townlands proposed for the development include Rockhill, Rinnaraw, Sandhill and Kill.
Plans are available for inspection until October 9 at County House in Lifford and Bóthar Ghaoth Dobhair in Dungloe.
