A black purse containing a large sum of cash, a get well card and a Fedex box containing a teddy was stolen from a car on the Pearse Road, Letterkenny, near the Station Roundabout, on Friday, January 13, between 1.15pm and 2pm.

It is understood that the car may have been unlocked at the time of the incident.

Gardaí are appealing to anybody who was in that area of the Pearse Road between those times and who may have observed any sort of suspicious activity to make contact with them at Letterkenny Garda Station on 074 91 67100.

Gardaí are also appealing to all drivers to please ensure their cars are locked when left unattended. Gardaí are also warning people not to leave large amounts of money, jewellery, electronics or other valuable items in their cars.

"Should anybody ever notice any suspicious activity occurring around parked cars we ask them to alert gardaí immediately," they said.
