Man fined after driving at 137km/h on Letterkenny dual carriageway

A man who was caught driving at 137km/h in Donegal has been fined in court.

Sean Hickey was before Letterkenny District Court after the detection on May 19, 2022.

At 11.20am, Garda Garrett Monaghan was operating a speed check at Dromore, Letterkenny when he clocked a silver Skoda Camac at 137km/h.

The road in question is governed by a speed limit of 100km/h.

Hickey, a 31-year-old with an address at Burgh Mount Banstead, Surrey, England, was issued with a fixed charge penalty notice.

The FCPN was unpaid and a summons was issued.

Judge Éiteáin Cunningham fined Hickey €200, giving five months to pay. The accused was not present in court.
