The incident occurred near the foot of Church Lane on the Main Street
A teenager was assaulted in Letterkenny and then had his money taken from him.
The young man was walking at Upper Main Street when he was confronted by two males who were not known to him on Tuesday, February 18, at 7.30pm.

The incident occurred near the foot of Church Lane on the Main Street. Both males assaulted the teenager. The injured teenager managed to run up Upper Main Street but he was followed by one of the males who demanded that he hand over his money. He did so and the two males then left the area on foot towards Lower Main Street.
“We can ascertain from CCTV footage of the incident that a number of people were in the area in vehicles and also on foot at the time,” a Garda spokesperson said. “We appeal to these people or to anyone with relevant information to make contact with Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100. If anybody travelled at Main Street, Letterkenny between 7.20pm and 7.40pm on February 18 with a dash cam, we ask them to make the footage available to us.”
