Sacristy ransacked in South Donegal church burglary

A sacristy was ransacked during a church burglary in Pettigo. 

The incident occurred last Thursday between 9am and 4pm at St Mary’s Church. The door to the Sacristy was forced open and entry was gained. It was then ransacked but nothing is believed to have been stolen. 

“We appeal to anyone who may have observed any suspicious activity, vehicles or people in that area on that date to make contact with Gardaí in Ballyshannon on 071-9858530,” Garda Claire Rafferty appealed.
