Gardai said the red BMW was driven onwards towards the Railway Road following the collision.

Gardaí in Inishowen are appealing for information in connection with a road traffic collision that happened in Buncrana last week.

The incident occurred on the Swilly Road in the town on Wednesday, February 4, shortly before 9.30pm that night.

A blue Hyundai vehicle was being driven from the Shorefront towards Buncrana Pier on the Swilly Road, when a red BMW, that was reportedly travelling towards it at speed, collided with it.

The red BMW was then driven onwards towards the Railway Road. No injuries were reported.

Gardai have urged anyone with information to come forward and assist their enquiry.

“We appeal to anyone who may have travelled in those areas between 9pm and 10pm with a dash-cam on February 4, to make the footage available to investigating Gardaí,” a spokesperson said.

“Any relevant information should be passed on to Gardaí in Buncrana on 07493 20540,” they added.
