The man appeared at Letterkenny District Court
A County Donegal man is to stand trial at the Central Criminal Court for the rape, attempted rape and sexual assault of a woman.
The man appeared at Letterkenny District Court charged with the incidents which are alleged to have occurred at a location in Donegal on August 15, 2021.
The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, did not speak during the brief appearance.
Garda Pauline Doherty told the court that she served a book of evidence on the man in the case.
Garda Sergeant Jim Collins said the Director of Public Prosecutions had consented for the man to go forward to the current sitting of the Central Criminal Court in Dublin.
Judge Emile Daly administered the alibi to the accused man.
The man's solicitor, Mr Kieran O'Gorman, sought both a senior and junior legal counsel.
