Gardaí issue warning to pet owners after Moville sheep kill

Dog owners being reminded to keep their dogs under control

Gardaí in Buncrana received a report of an attack on sheep that occurred at Carnagarve, Moville on Friday, June 3. Six sheep were killed and more may have to be put down due to their injuries, gardaí say.

Gardaí  wish to remind dog owners of the harm their pets can cause if let roam free or unsecured and not kept under effectual control. Gardaí say that with dog ownership comes responsibility and urged owners to secure dog(s), have them microchipped and registered with their vet.
Gardaí warn pet owners that dogs should not be allowed roam.

If anybody has any information that might assist Gardaí with their enquiries, we ask them to contact Gardaí in Buncrana on 0749 320540.
