Richard Grant, Quigley's Point

The death has taken place at the Donegal Hospice of Richard Grant, Gortany, Quigleys Point. Funeral arrangements to be confirmed later.

Eamon McBrearty, Kilcar

The death has occurred of Eamon Mc Brearty, Derrylahen, Kilcar. Eamon died peacefully in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.

Predeceased by his wife Noreen, two sons Jason and Edward, parents Paddy and Mary. Sadly missed by his loving daughters Anita and Marion, son-in-law Sean, grandchildren Oisin, Callum and Aine, sister Mary and brothers Noel, Paddy and Michael, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

His remains will arrive at St Cartha's Church, Kilcar at 6pm on Friday.

Funeral on Saturday at 10am with burial to follow in the local cemetery.

Raymond McMaster, Dunfanaghy

The death has taken place, in the Donegal Hospice, of Raymond McMaster, Sessiagh, Dunfanaghy.

Much loved and sadly missed by his two sons Alexander and Lucas, extended family and friends. 

His remains are reposing at his late residence. Family time, please from 9pm to 12 noon.

Funeral Service in Holy Trinity Church, Hornhead Road, Dunfanaghy, on Saturday at 2pm with burial afterwards in St Anne's Church Graveyard, Killult, Falcarragh.

Mary Kelly, Ballybofey

The death has occurred at her late residence of Mary Kelly (nee Wilkinson), 11 Townview Heights, Ballybofey, F93 C673, and formerly Creeslough and London.

Beloved wife of Charley and much loved mother of Anne, Eileen, John, George, Susan, Mary, Sheila, Teresa, Paul, Joseph and the late Charley Jnr; cherished sister of Jean, Rita, Jim and the late Tony, John, Bernie, Sarah, George and Eileen. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, brother, sisters, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Her remains reposing at her late residence from 7pm on Thursday. The house is private to family, close friends and neighbours. Family time from 10pm until 11am, and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral leaving from there on Saturday at 10.15am for Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Crossroads, Killygordon, at 11am. with interment afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard. Eoin Brosnan, Bruckless

The death has occurred, suddenly, in Melbourne, Australia, of Eoin Brosnan, Drimaghey, Bruckless.

Dearly beloved son of Dermot and Maria, brother to Aidan (Roscommon) and Emmett (Meenabrock). Sadly missed by his sisters in law Edel and Becky, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends.

His remains are reposing at his late residence (Bruckless) from Thursday evening. At the request of the family, the house is strictly private at all times.

Funeral at 12 noon on Saturday, in the Church of St Joseph and St Conal, Bruckless, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Ernest Elliott, Stranorlar

The death has taken place, at his home, of Ernest Elliott, The Glebe, Stranorlar.

Beloved husband of Rebecca.

Funeral leaving from his home on Saturday at 1.45pm for 2pm funeral service in St Mary’s Church of Ireland, Stranorlar, followed by burial in the family plot in the adjoining graveyard. 

Mary Patricia Haughey, Kilmacrennan, Killygordon and Buncrana

The death has taken place in St James' Hospital, Dublin of Mary Patricia Haughey, 4 Rosemount, Kilmacrennan and formerly Killygordan and 9 Pairc Na hAlúine, Magherinture, Buncrana.

Sadly missed by Tony, her daughters Nikita, Chantelle, Joycelene and Sharmien, sons David, Ramada and Salvatorie, sisters Brenda and Ann, brothers Seamus and Kevin, extended family, friends and neighbours. She is predeceased by her parents Kathleen Haughey and Patsy Mc Laughlin, son Jason and sister Shauna.

Her remains are reposing at 4 Rosemount, Kilmacrennan. House private on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Mass on Friday at 11am in St Columba’s Church, Kilmacrennan with burial afterwards in New Leck cemetery, Letterkenny. 

Rónán Mac Aodha Bhuí, Bunbeg

The death has occurred of Rónán Mac Aodha Bhuí, Cois Cláidigh, Bunbeg, Donegal, F92 W9T3

Fuair Rónán Mac Aodha Bhuí as Cois Cláidigh, An Bun Beag, bás go suaimhneach sa bhaile inniú.

Iar chrealtóir do chuid Raidio na Gaeltachta, sná Doire Beaga a bhí ann. Ar shlua na bhfírean roimhe tá a thuismitheoirí; Eibhlín & Fionntan Mac Aodha Bhuí agus a dheirfiúr Edel. Maireann a bhean chéile Bernie (Nic Pháidín), a inion Fionnuala, a dheirfiúracha; Bríd, Ríona & Colma, a dheartháireacha; Cian, Iarla, Cuimín agus Barra, teaghlach leathnaithe Mhic Aodha Bhuí agus Mhic Pháidín agus a lán gaolta agus cairde eile.

The peaceful death has taken place at his home in Coshclady, Gweedore of Rónán Mac Aodha Bhuí, former broadcaster with Radio na Gaeltachta in Derrybeg.

Predeceased by his parents; Eibhlín and Fionntan  and his sister Edel. He is sadly missed by his loving wife Bernie, daughter Fionnuala, sisters Bríd, Ríona and Colma, brothers Cian, Iarla, Cuimín and Barra and extended family and friends.

His remains will repose at his home on Thursday from 11am until 9pm with Rosary at 8pm. House private on the morning of the funeral.

Fonzie (James A) McCullagh, Dungloe

The death has occurred of Fonzie (James A) Mc Cullagh, 'Cluny' Quay Road, Dungloe. 

He was a cherished father, deeply missed by his four loving children: Aidan, Conor, Gearldine and Michelle. Fonzie's partner, Marian, his sisters, Anne-Marie and Dolores, as well as his brothers, Fr Michael and Noel, all mourn his loss. He leaves behind a legacy of grandeur through his grandchildren and an extensive network of family and friends.

Fonzie's remains are respectfully reposing at his residence with Rosary at 9pm.

The Funeral Mass will be held in St Crona's Church, Dungloe, on Friday at 1pm, which can be viewed on www.churchservices.tv followed by his burial in Maghery Cemetery.

Family flowers only, Donations can be made, if desired, to Seminary of Blessed Theodor Romzha Ukraine. 

Karl Gillespie, Crossroads

The death has occurred of Karl Gillespie, Crossroads in Birmingham, England. Beloved son of Mary and the late Gregg.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving mother, the extended Gillespie and Gallen families, neighbours, and very many friends.

Funeral at the Church of St Terese of The Child Jesus, Birmingham took place on Tuesday, this will now be followed by removal on Thursday, September 21 to St Patrick’s Church, Crossroads, Killygordon, arriving at approximately 3pm to repose overnight.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11am. Interment will take place afterwards in the adjoining churchyard. The Requiem Mass will be streamed live on https://youtube.com/@killygordonparish
