Noel (Paddy) McBride, Dunfanaghy

The death has taken place at the Lake House Nursing Home, Portnalagh, Dunfanaghy of Noel (Paddy) McBride, Breaghy, Portnalagh, Dunfanaghy and formerly Falls Road, Belfast.

Sadly missed by his son Adam, sister Collette, his nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his wife, Sandra, his sister Eileen and baby Olywn.

No wake. Funeral Mass in Holy Cross Church, Dunfanaghy on Monday, January 26 at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. Mass can be viewed live on https://mcn.live/Camera/holy-cross-church.

Jean Coyle, Raphoe

The peaceful death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Jean Coyle, Townparks, Raphoe, F93 EO34.

Her remains will repose at her home tomorrow Saturday, January 24 from 12 noon – 10pm, where you are welcome to call to pay your respects.

Leaving her home on Sunday  at 12 noon going to Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan, for funeral prayers and cremation at 3.15pm.

Family flowers only please.

Donations in lieu to The Palliative Care team Letterkenny University Hospital, care of any family member or Terence McClintock Funeral Director.

The house is private to family only on Friday please.

Jean will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Dan, daughters Deborah and Sharon, grandchildren Shay, Kyron, Zara, great-grandson Regge and the wider family circle.

Bridie McNeely, Frosses

The death has taken place of Bridie McNeely, Ballybrillighan, Frosses, F94 EW67. She passed away peacefully at her home.

Predeceased by her husband, Brian. Sadly missed by her daughters May (John), Bernadette, her sons Cathal (Mary), Bernard (Edel), and Fredrick (Patricia) and her seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Bridie will repose at the family home on Saturday, January 24 and Sunday from 1.00pm until 8.00pm. 

Removal on Monday for 11am requiem Mass at the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Frosses followed by internment in the local cemetery.

A one way traffic management system will operate at the wake house. Entry from the Frosses/Glenties Road & exit at Diver's corner. Please follow the signs.

Jim Henderson, Buncrana

The death has occurred of Jim Henderson, 7 Lisowen Avenue, Buncrana, F93 D9N7.

Jim died peacefully surrounded by those he loved on Friday, January 23.

 Deeply mourned by his sons, Martin, Liam, Sean and Hugh Patrick. He will always be fondly remembered also by his daughters-in-law Elaine and Marie, and by his grandchildren Michael, Megan, James, Shay, Caolan, Ultan, Sally, Emma and Cara.

Also by his much-loved brothers Hugh, Danny, Jackie and his sister, Mary.

As well as all of his extended family, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces, relatives, former colleagues and many friends.

Predeceased by his precious and beloved wife Sally and son Kieran.

Jim’s remains will leave McLaughlin’s Funeral Home, Main Street, Buncrana, on Friday, January 23 at 4pm going to his home.

Funeral from there on Monday at 10:20 for 11am Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Cockhill followed by Internment in the adjoining cemetery.

Seamus Kelly, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Seamus Kelly Bomany, Letterkenny.

Seamus died unexpectedly but peacefully at his late residence.

Predeceased by his parents James (2005) and Grace (2024), his sister Grace Marley (2012) and his uncle William (January 2026).

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving siblings Mairead, Breda, PJ, Aidan, Carmel, Claire, Evelyn and Louise, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Seamus’s remains will repose in Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny (F92 XE35) on Saturday, January 24 from 1pm to 3pm and again on Sunday from 5pm to 8pm.

Funeral Mass will take place in St. Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny on Monday at 12 noon, followed by interment in Conwal Cemetery.

Patrick McNelis, Ardara

The sudden death has occurred of Patrick (Paddy Phil) McNelis, Brackey, Ardara.

Predeceased by his parents Phil and Kate, sisters Mary Rose and baby Hannah.

Sadly missed by his nieces Mary, Patricia, Kathleen, Mairead and nephews Hugh, Gerry, Philip and John Damian.

Reposing at McCabe’s Funeral Home, Common, Ardara F94VCK1 on Friday, January 23 from 4pm to 9pm and on Saturday, from 4pm to 9pm.

Funeral from there on Sundaygoing to the Church of the Holy Family, Ardara for Funeral Mass at 11am burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Aidan Hayes, Falcarragh 

The death has occurred of Aidan Hayes Ballyconnell, Falcarragh, Donegal and Cork City, Cork.

He passed away died on January 19 at Letterkenny University Hospital at the age of 78.

He was a poet and translator who spent most of his working life teaching in schools and prisons in Ireland and France.

Originally from Cork City, he spent the last 25 years of his life in Donegal.

His children, grandchildren, brothers and sister, nieces and nephew, family and friends will miss him very much.

Viewing and Memorial Service will take place at 5.00 p.m. at the Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal, Eircode F92XE35 on Saturday 24th 2026.

Burial will take place on Sunday at 1.30pm in St Anne’s Church Graveyard, Killult, Falcarragh, F92KP68.

Anne Larkin, Letterkenny

The death has taken place surrounded by her loving family of Anne Larkin (nee Gallagher), 3 Rosemount Villas, Letterkenny.

Anne is survived by her loving sons Stephie, Alec and Mel, grandchildren and daughters in law.

Anne will be reposing at her son Alec’s residence Glencar Scotch, Letterkenny from 7pm until after the rosary on Thursday, January 22 and from 11am to after the rosary on Friday.

Funeral Mass on Saturday at 1.30pm in St Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny with burial afterwards in Leck Cemetery.

Patrick Ferry, Falcarragh

The death has taken place of Patrick Ferry, Lower Carrowcannon, Falcarragh.

He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Bridget, his brother Maurice, his sister Sally, and his nephews Brian Gibson and Patrick Ferry.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Margaret, sons Michael and PJ, daughters Kat, Breege and Mags, daughters-in-law Sharon and Anna, sons-in-law Tom and Rodney, grandchildren Cillian, Alanna, Sadie, Manus, Aedan and Sasha, brothers Joe and Marion, Barney and Margaret, sisters Anne and Edward, Madge and James, nieces, nephews, extended family and a wide circle of friends.

Patrick’s remains are reposing at his son Michael’s home in Lower Carrowcannon, with wake commencing on Thursday, January 22, at 3pm and on Friday from 12 noon. Rosary both nights at 8pm. House private after the Rosary and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral from there on Saturday, January for 11am Requiem Mass in St Finian’s Church, Falcarragh, F92 X302, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Pat Mohan, Letterbarrow

The death has taken place of Pat Mohan, Dudley, England, and formerly of Tullynagreana, Letterbarrow who passed away after a period of illness in Russells Hall Hospital, Dudley.

Predeceased by his beloved parents Francis and Margaret, his uncle Thomas, and his siblings Roseanna, Bernard and Martina.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving brothers and sisters Jim (Mary), Mary (Ray), Martin, William (Sally), Michael (Anne), John (Ann), Ambrose (Teresa) and Bernie (Victor), his nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, extended family and friends.

Cremation took place in Dudley on Friday, January 16.

Requiem Mass will take place on Saturday, January 24, at 11am in the Church of the Holy Redeemer, Drimarone, followed by interment of ashes in the family plot in Drimarone graveyard.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to all those who cared for Pat throughout his illness.



Frank Kelly, Killygordon

The death has occurred at Donegal Hospice, Letterkenny, of Frank Kelly, 14 Ballinacor, Crossroads, Killygordon. F93 X8XR.

Predeceased by his wife Sarah. Much loved father to Tommy, Marie (Adi), Bernard (Biggi), Frankie, and Brigid, dearly loved grandfather to Darragh, Adam, Jason, Niall, and Conor, and great-grandfather to Saoirse, cherished brother of the late Patrick, Mick, John Joe, Tommy, Annie (Sharkey), Bridget (Slevin), Lawrence, Barney, Eddie, Peter, and Susan (Harper).

Deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by his sons, daughters, sister-in-law, Jean, partner Rita, nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchild, extended family and friends.

Reposing at his home on Thursday, January 22 from 6pm to 9pm and on Friday  from 12 noon to 9pm.

Funeral leaving from there on Saturday Jan 24th at 10.40 am for 11am Requiem Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, Crossroads, Killygordon.

Interment in the adjoining churchyard.

Helen McLoughlin, Bundoran and Edinburgh

The death has occurred of Helen McLoughlin, Edinburgh, and formerly of Bundoran, Co. Donegal, who was found tragically deceased at her home in South Lome Place, Edinburgh, on Monday, September 22, 2025.

Beloved daughter of the late Patrick and Kathleen McLoughlin. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her brothers Enda and Donal, relatives and friends.

She will be missed terribly by all who knew her. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

The scattering of Helen’s ashes will take place at Dowie’s Mill Lane, Cramond Bridge, Edinburgh, at 11.00am on Saturday, January 24, to which family and friends are warmly invited.

Refreshments afterwards in the Bow Bar, 80 West Bow, Edinburgh, EH1 2HH.
