Michael McInerney, Ballyshannon

The peaceful death has taken place of Michael McInerney, formerly of The Mall, Ballyshannon.

He passed away peacefully on February 27 at Potters Grange nursing home, Potters Bar, England.

Sadly missed by his loving sons Michael and Garry, daughter Diana, grandchildren Sean, Kelly, Christie, Hayley, Megan, Hannah, Callum, Sean and Rauri.

Predeceased by his wife Margaret.

Reposing at John McGee & Sons Funeral Home, Belleek Rd, Ballyshannon, F94ED21 on Monday, March 23 from 5pm to 7pm.

Removal on Tuesday from the funeral to StPatrick's Church, Ballyshannon for 11am funeral Mass with burial afterwards in the Abbey cemetery.

Michael Kenny, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Michael (Mick) Kenny, Woodbrook, Carrick on Shannon and formerly of Ballinasloe, Co Roscommon and Clonfert, Maynooth.

He passed away peacefully at Sligo University Hospital.

Predeceased by his loving parents, Mary and James. Beloved husband of Joan (née Walsh) and dear father of Noel (Sligo) and Fiona (James McCabe, Donegal).

Michael will be very sadly missed by his adored grandchildren Aoife, Erin, Ciara and Niamh, and by his sisters Mary (Forkan) and Catriona (McCullagh), his brothers-in-law Brendan and Martin, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Removal to St Michael's Church, Cootehall, Co Roscommon (F52 AF85) on Sunday evening, March 22, arriving at 5 pm.

Funeral mass on Monday at 12 noon followed by burial in Clar graveyard, Donegal town (F94 N821) to arrive at 4 pm approximately.

Sam Leslie, Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Sam Leslie, Laheen, Cavangarden, Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Phyllis, children Samuel (Deborah), Keith (Kate), Daryl and Ruth (John), grandchildren Leah, Nathan, Matthew, Meedee, Luke, Kara, Rachel, and Lydia, brothers and sisters Ivy, William, Angela, Jim and Dorothy. Predeceased by his sisters May, Margaret and Ina.

Reposing at John McGee and Sons funeral home, Ballyshannon on Sunday, March 22 from 3pm to 6pm. House strictly private please.

Funeral Service in Bridgetown Gospel Hall, F94 X037 on Monday at 2pm followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if so desired to the North West Hospice, care of any family member.


Kevin McGlinchey, Laghey

The death has occurred of Kevin McGlinchey Trummon West Barr Laghey.

He passed away peacefully at Arus Mhic Shuibhne Nursing Laghey.

Kevin will be greatly missed by his family, neighbours and friends.

Kevin's remains are reposing in Aras Mhic Shuibhne Nursing on Sunday afternoon from 3pm until 7pm. Funeral Mass on Monday  at 11am in St Brigid’s Church Ballintra followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Gary Merritt, Stranorlar

The sudden death has occurred at his late residence of Gary Merritt, Drumboe, Stranorlar, F93 A27A.

Beloved husband of Rose, much-loved father of Oisin, Natasha, and the late Shane, cherished son of Bernie and the late Luke, dearly loved brother of Marion, Joy, Lucy, Martina, Michael, Maurice, Eunan, Jeffery, and Clement, devoted grandfather to Harlow and Raelyn. Deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by his wife, son, daughter, mother, brothers, sisters, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends.

Reposing at his late residence on Monday, March 23 from 6pm to 10pm and on Tuesday March 24th from 11am until 10pm.

Funeral leaving from his home on Wednesday at 10.20 am for Requiem Mass at 11am in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar. Interment in Castlefinn cemetery. The Requiem Mass will be streamed live via the parish webcam.

Teasie McCann, Shrove

The death has occurred of Teasie McCann, Rockall, Shrove.

She passed away peacefully at Beach Hill Manor Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband Charlie and her infant son Matthew.

Much-loved mother of Danny (Lucille), Bill (Paula), Caroline (Steven), Marianne (Georgie) and Patricia (Phil) and cherished granny of Mark, Caoimhe, Aobh, Fionnuala, Jack, Max, Alanna and Cathal.

Predeceased by her sister Annie and her brother Michael.

Sadly missed by her nieces and nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Teasie’s remains will leave Eamonn McLaughlin’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Carndonagh F93 E4FN on Saturday, March 21 at 3pm, going to the home of her late brother Michael, Shrove F93 F251.

Funeral from there on Monday  at 1.30pm for 2pm Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Ballybrack, followed by interment in Ballybrack Cemetery.

JP Gallagher, Trummon

The death has taken place of JP Gallagher, Lakeview, Trummon, Laghey.

He passed away peacefully at Arus Mhic Shuibhne Nursing Home,Mullinasole.

Predeseased by his beloved wife Mary and his son Dermot and his brothers Brenden and Francis.

Sadly missed by Paul (Sarah) Karen (Tony) John (Lynda) Laura (Dessie) his grandchilden Aimee, Jamie, Emma , James, Marnie,John Jnr, Calum,Adam and Nathan, and his sister Maura (Donal) and his extended family,neighbours and many friends.

JP s remains will repose at the family home Trummon F94F9R2 on Saturday, March 21 from 3pm until 9pm. House private on the morning of the funeral please.

Funeral Mass on Sunday morning at 11am in St Brigid’s Church, Ballintra,

Rose Colhoun, Lifford

The death has occurred of Rose Colhoun (née Gallen (Murty), Gortnavilly, Lifford, Donegal, F93 FC7F.

She passed away suddenly at home, Gortnavilly, Lifford on March 19.

Formerly from Meenreagh. Beloved wife of George, much loved mother of Carmel (David), Stephen (Lorraine) and Kenny, loving granny of Eoghan, Darragh, Leagh, Rory, Ciaragh, Keigan and Noah, dearest sister of Kathleen and the late Sadie and Maggie.

Reposing at the family home on Friday, March 20 from 6pm until 11pm and on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m.

The house is private at all other times and on the morning of the funeral. Funeral from the family home on Sunday 22nd March at 12 noon to Saint Columba's Church, Doneyloop for Requiem Mass at 12.30 p.m. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard.

Very deeply regretted and sadly missed by her entire family circle.

Niamh Kavanagh, Galway and Bundoran

The death has occurred of Niamh Kavanagh Suaimhneas, Kilgill, Claregalway, Galway and Donegal.

She passed away suddenly, on Tuesday, March 17 following a tragic accident.

Sadly missed by her heartbroken family, her Mam Barbara, her sister Clíona, her loving partner Michael and her beloved Luna and Oreo, Barbara's loving partner Fabian Gillick, Clíona's partner Melissa, her adopted sister Amanda Fahy and her godchild Caolán.

Deeply regretted by her aunts Trish, Fiona, Anna and Helen, her uncles Damien and Yvonne, Aiden and Delores Bennett and Noel and Jenny, Michael's parents Tony and Marie Liston, Michael's sisters Maeve and Mark Liston and Jennifer and Steve Samuel /Liston, all her cousins a large circle of friends and her father Bartley Kavanagh and all the Kavanagh Family.

Reposing at Corrandulla Mortuary Chapel (H91HN83) on Sunday, March 22 from 5pm removal at 7pm to her Mam's Home in Kilgill. Private Cremation to follow on Monday, March 23 at 3pm at Shannon Crematorium (V14PV30).

House strictly private, by request, please.

Gerard Crossan Ruskey, Quigley’s Point

The death has occurred of Gerard Crossan Ruskey, Quigley’s Point, peacefully in the loving and compassionate care of all the staff at Carndonagh Community Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Daniel and Kathleen and his brothers Tom and Charlie.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sisters and brothers, Elizabeth (Larry), Anna, Eileen (Ciarán), Colm (Fiona), Eamonn (Emily) and Phelim (Rochelle), niece and nephew, Aoife and Michael, extended nieces and nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Gerard’s remains will leave Eamonn McLaughlin’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Carndonagh F93 E4FN on Friday, March 20 at 7pm going to his home (F93 AD91).

Funeral from there on Monday at 10.30am for 11am Requiem Mass in St Columba’s Church Drung, followed by Interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Mary Patricia (Pat) Brady, Cavan and Glenties

The death has occurred of Mary Patricia (Pat) Brady (née Breslin) Carnagh Upper, Kilcogy, Cavan and formerly, Glenties.

She passed away peacefully at Cavan General Hospital on March 18, surrounded by her loving family, in her 90th year.

Predeceased by her Parents, James and Bridget, brothers Bernard and Neily.

Pat will be very sadly missed by her heartbroken family, husband John, sons Johnny, James and Neil, her adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters Joan, Evelyn, Una and Caroline, daughters-in-law Brenda and Carmel, Sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews relatives and a large circle of friends and neighbours.

House private please. Removal to St. Mary’s Church, Bruskey, Cavan (H12XO67) on Monday, March 23 arriving at 6pm.

Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 12 noon with interment afterwards in Mullaghboy Cemetery.

Mary Leavy, Milford and Clonmany

The death has taken place in Letterkenny University Hospital of Mary Leavy (née Diver), 4 Moyle View, Milford and formerly Mindoran, Clonmany.

Deeply regretted by her adored son Ryan, sister Christina (Martin), brothers Denis (Julie), Liam and Brendan (Eileen), nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Predeceased by her husband Anthony.

Reposing at the residence of her sister Christina Diver, Mindoran, Clonmany, from 4pm on Friday, March 20.

House is private to family only.

Removal from there on Saturday at 3:30pm, to St Peter’s Church, Milford, arriving at 5pm for prayers and to repose overnight.

Funeral Mass on Sunday at 11am.

Interment afterwards in Tully Cemetery.

Funeral Mass can be viewed on Church Services TV St Peter’s Church Milford.

Joe Mulligan, Derrynamansher

The peaceful death has taken place of Joe Mulligan, at his home in Derrynamansher.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his brother Paddy (Bridie), Gráinne and Mairead, his nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Joe will repose at McGlynn’s Funeral Home, Dungloe, (F94 ND68) on Friday, March 20 from 4pm.

Rosary at 8pm followed by removal to his family home in Derrynamansher.

Reposing at his home in Derrynamansher (F94 C5D8) on Saturday, March 21 from 12 noon, with Rosary at 8pm.

Funeral Mass on Sunday, March 22 at 1pm in St Mary’s Star of the Sea Church, Annagry, (F94 KO22) followed by burial afterwards in the Old Graveyard, Annagry.

Family time after the Rosary and on the morning of the funeral.

Sinead McGinley, Killybegs

The sudden death has occurred of Sinead McGinley, Leeds and formerly of the Five Points, Killybegs, County Donegal

Predeceased by her mother Mona, brothers Aidan and Anthony, Sinead will be sadly missed by her beloved father Pat (Padraig), brother Pauric, sister Jess-ann, partner Helen, stepson Carrick, nephews Brandon, Alex, Feidhlim and Noah, and all of her family and friends.

Remains reposing at McBrearty’s Funeral Home, Killybegs (F94 R8WR) on Sunday, March 22 from 3pm-7pm, followed by removal to her family home.

House private please.

Removal on Monday  to St Mary of the Visitation Church, Killybegs for 11am funeral mass followed by private cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.
