The death has taken place at Killybegs Community Hospital of Nora Cusack, The Rock, Glenties and formerly Thorr, Gaoth Dobhair.

Predeceased by her husbands Kerry Brosnan and Patrick Cusack, sisters Mary and Tessie. Deeply regretted by her brothers Packie,Eddie and Joe, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Her remains are reposing at her late residence. Family time from 10pm until 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Removal from there on Sunday morning at 10.30am going to St Connells Church, Glenties for Requiem Mass at 11am with burial afterwards in Maghergallen cemetery at approximately 1.30pm. Funeral Mass can be viewed live on

Joan Moya Evans, Bruckless

The death has occurred peacefully in her own home of Joan Moya Evans (née McDowell), Bruckless.

Predeceased by her son William and her husband Clive, she will be sadly missed by her children Alexander and Jane, her grandchildren Ava, Conall, Owen, Joanna and Leo, her daughter-in-law Natasha and her son-in-law Brendan, her sister Rosemary and her brother John and by all her extended family and many friends.

Her remains will repose at her home until 9pm on Friday. House strictly private at all other times.

Funeral service will be at 12 noon on Saturday in St John's Church, Killybegs (F94 HE27), followed by private cremation.

Please limit flowers to those grown in your garden only.

Maureen McFadden, Carrigans

The death has occurred peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital of Maureen McFadden (née McCauley), Pump Street, Carrigans and formerly of 33 St Brigid’s Avenue, Pennyburn, Derry.

Beloved wife of the late James, dear daughter of the late James and Jean, loving sister of Harry, Helen, Tony, Pamela, Betty and the late Charlie, Tom, Barney and Billy and a dear and loving aunt to all her nieces and nephews.

Funeral leaving her home on Saturday at 10.15am to St Baithan’s Church, St Johnston for Requiem Mass at 11am with interment afterwards in All Saints Cemetery, Newtowncunningham.

Michael O'Donnell, Kilcar

The death has occurred of Michael O'Donnell, Towney, Kilcar.

Beloved husband of his heartbroken wife Bridie, loving Stepfather to Helen, adored Grandfather to Eoin and Emma. He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken brother John and wife Monica, his loving sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters Mai and Martina, nieces, nephews and close friends.

His remains are leaving his home on Sunday at 10am for private cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at 1pm. House is strictly private please, at the request of the deceased. 

Phil Ward, Meath / Ballyshannon, Donegal

The death has occurred of Phil (Philip) Ward, Cavan Road, Oldcastle, Meath and formerly Corlea, Ballyshannon.

Predeceased by his brother Willie John (Bill), sister Ellen, nephew Gerard and niece Theresa. Beloved husband to Chris, loving father to Sandra and Gary, father-in-law to Fergus, Grandfather to Arlene, Cíara, Conán, Oisín, Ruairí and Fiachra, and their partners Keith, Courtney and Frank. He will be deeply missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews

His remains are reposing at his family home on Friday until 8pm.

Removal from his residence on Saturday for Funeral Mass at 11am at St Brigid's Church, Oldcastle with burial afterwards in the local cemetery. The funeral may be viewed via

Donna Marie McCarron, Fahan

The death has taken place in Saint Petersburg, Florida, USA of Donna Marie McCarron. She was born in Portlaoise on May 15, 1983 and passed away at the Bayfront Health Center in St Petersburg Florida on April 30.

She is sadly missed by her father and stepmother James McCarron and Monica Galligan (Lisfannon, Fahan), her mother Mary Evans and sister Anne Evans (Florida, USA), her aunts and uncles and her Conneely, Cullen, Doherty, Galligan, Holland, McBride, McCarron, Mulhern, and Wright cousins. Donna was predeceased by her grandparents, Joe and Maggie McCarron of Leiter, Urris, Clonmany, County Donegal, and Jim and Annie Holland of Carlow.

The Month's Mind Mass for Donna will take place on Sunday at 10am at St Michael's Chapel, Urris, Clonmany. At the request of the deceased, her remains have been donated for medical research.

Barbara Sheridan, Rathmullan / Fintown

The peaceful death has taken place at her home of Barbara Sheridan, nee Duffy (Ní Dubtaig), Main Street, Rathmullan and formerly of Fintown.

Her remains are reposing at her home. House strictly private please.

Requiem Mass on Saturday at 11am in St Joseph’s Church, Rathmullan followed by burial in Rathmullan cemetery.

Frank McCaffrey, Dublin / Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Frank McCaffrey, Kilmacud, Dublin and Ballyshannon.

Beloved husband for 62 years of Renee and adored father of Derek, Colin, Niall, Frankie and Hazel, he passed away on May 31  peacefully in his 90th year with his family by his side at Blackrock Clinic. Former Managing Director of McGrattan, Kenny & McCaffrey Ltd, and President of the Construction Industry Federation (CIF) and ECA Ireland. He will be deeply missed by his family, his thirteen grandchildren, great-granddaughter, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, nephew, friends, neighbours, and work colleagues.

Requiem Mass will take place at 10am on Saturday morning in the Church of St Thérèse, Mount Merrion. The Mass may be viewed at

Committal prayers will take place at noon in the Garden Chapel, Mount Jerome, Harold’s Cross

Jack Patton, Ballybofey

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Jack Patton, Aughavoy, Ballybofey, F93 Y721.

His remains are reposing at his residence on Friday until 11pm.

Funeral from there on Saturday at 1.30pm for service in Kilteevogue Parish Church at 2pm with burial afterwards in the family plot in Stranorlar Parish Church.

Conn Smyth, Carndonagh

The death has taken place at his home of Conn Smyth, Carrick, Carndonagh.

Former teacher at St Peter’s Secondary School Derry, founding member of Inishowen Gun Club, and antique books trader. He is survived by his wife Janice Smyth (née Scott), sister Mary Antony Smyth O’Connor and his daughters Fiona, Sinéad, Deirdre and Mairéad.

He gifted his body to research in Parkinson’s Disease and Cancer at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin. His family are very proud that his death will give hope to others. 

To honour his passing there will be a small gathering of family and friends at his home on Saturday, June 11 from 3pm with a Memorial Celebration by the family at 3.30pm.

Anna Gill, Creeslough / London

The death has occurred peacefully at Carrick House Nursing Home of Anna Gill (née McBride), Harrow, London, formerly of Doe Point, Creesslough.

Predeceased by her husband Steve, she is sadly missed by her loving family: daughters Marie, Suzanne and Linda; sons-in-law Liam, Les and Jackie; grandchildren Stephen, Sean, Andrew, Mark, Robert, Lucy and Katy; great-grandchildren Thomas, Daniel, Madison, Ayda-Leigh and Nancy.

Funeral Mass will be on Friday, June 17 at 10am at St Joseph's Catholic Church, 191 High Road, Harrow Weald HA3 5EE, followed by cremation at Breakspear Crematorium, Breakspear Road, Ruislip, HA4 7SJ.
