Donegal bar announces closure after eight years in business

A popular bar in Donegal has set a date to close its doors.

The Celtic Marine Bar in Bundoran has announced it will be closing its doors after eight years of business.

Sharing the announcement on social media, the bar is starting a ‘new chapter’.

The post said: “After an incredible 8 and a half years, the time has come to close the doors of Celtic Marine Bar. Our final night will be Friday 25th September.

We want to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to every single person who has walked through our doors over the years.

“To all our loyal customers, regulars, friends, families, visitors, staff and everyone who has supported us along the way, we genuinely couldn't have done it without you. There have been some great nights, plenty of laughs, unforgettable memories, and a lot of pints poured over the last 8 and a half years.

“While Celtic Marine Bar as you know it is coming to an end, this isn't quite the end of the story… There are a few things happening behind the scenes that we're keeping very much under wraps for now.”
