Donegal look set to open their 2024 Allianz League Division 2 campaign at home to Cork.

The provisional fixtures are circulating for next year’s campaigns, with Jim McGuinness’s team at home to the Leesiders on Sunday, January 28, at 1:45pm. Donegal’s second fixture is a trip to Kingspan Breffni to play Cavan on Sunday, February 4, at 2pm.

Round three - Sunday, February 18 - sees Donegal welcome Fermanagh before an away fixture against Armagh on Sunday, February 25.

Louth visit the north-west on Sunday, March 3 and round six sees Donegal take on Kildare away, with the match down for Saturday, March 16, at 7pm. Eight days later, Donegal finish off their seven-match series at home to Meath.

Donegal have yet to confirm the venues for their home fixtures, although, according to a county board spokesperson, it’s understood there is a leaning towards having the Cork and Meath matches at MacCumhaill Park in Ballybofey.

O’Donnell Park in Letterkenny is expected to host Fermanagh, as they did in 2018 and Louth will be the team to face McGuinness’s side in Ballyshannon, as was the case in 2014. With St Conleth's Park in Newbridge undergoing a reconstruction, Donegal are in line to meet Kildare at Dr Cullen Park in Carlow.

The Fr Tierney Park pitch has been relaid and Donegal are due to play a challenge match at the venue on Sunday, December 17, against Roscommon.

In the National Hurling League Division 2B, Mickey McCannon’s Donegal take on a familiar form on weekend one, away to Wicklow, on Sunday, February 4. Six days later Mickey McCann’s team are at home to Derry.

On weekend three, on February 24, Donegal make the short trip to face Tyrone and on Sunday March 10 face another roadtrip, this time to Roscommon. London are making their way to Donegal on Sunday, March 17. Donegal’s homes are anticipated to take place at O’Donnell Park.
