The Donegal team after winning the West Coast Challenge in January
The Donegal Darts team made it three-in-a-row at the INDO Inter-Counties Championship in the INEC Arena in Killarney on Sunday night.
Donegal won 7-4 in a spirited final against Offaly, with Alan Byrne winning the final set in the best-of-13-sets decider.
Cartha Boyle got Donegal off to a good start in the final with a 3-1 win over Mark Griffin, while Glenfin man Gerard McGlynn averaged 92 as he stormed to a 3-0 win over Trevor English.
John Flood took on Keith McNamara in the third game and lost 3-2 after being 2-0 up, but Steven Harron won all three legs against Ben Dooley to put them 3-1 ahead.
Charlie Grant defeated Bodien Fogarty 3-1 in the fifth match, but it was soon 4-2 as Bridgend’s Dean Gallagher lost to Ronan McDonagh.
Adrian ‘Butch’ Devine took a 3-0 win against Pat Barrett, but Jordan Boyce of Newtowncunningham lost 3-1 to the impressive Billy McCormick in match eight.
Gortahork man Ciaran McGeady took Donegal to within one set of winning with a 3-0 win over Billy Fogarty, but John ‘Meencha’ Gallagher lost 3-2 to Brian Fletcher Jr after missing one match dart.
And while Alan Byrne went 2-0 down to Colm Ryan, he came back and won 3-2 with a 78 checkout and a 15-dart leg.
After a dominant performance in the group stages, winning an incredible 43 points from a possible 52 over four games, Donegal beat Westmeath 7-3 in the last 16.

They then had to come from 6-4 down to win 7-6 in a nervy quarter-final against Cork, before beating Carlow more comfortably by 7-2 in the semis.
The Donegal team was managed by John Murray, with Michael Leech as Assistant Manager, and Joe Thompson and Sean Wilson were selectors for the team.
The Donegal ladies finished second in their group with three wins and reached the Shield final, but lost out 4-2 against Carlow.
In Friday’s singles event, Dean Gallagher made it the furthest of the Donegal men, losing out to eventual winner Dylan Slevin in the semi-finals.
Jason Patterson, Gerard McGlynn, and Cartha Boyle all reached the quarter-finals.
In the ladies' singles, Denise Cassidy made it into the last eight, while Rachael McGlinchey made the last 16, losing out to eventual winner Robyn Byrne.
