It was all too easy for the home side against a weakened Carndonagh team in O’Donnell Park on Friday night.

Gavin Forde led the line for Eunan’s superbly as the Letterkenny lads eased into a 1-12 to 0-4 lead at the break.

Forde opened the scoring with a few early points as St. Eunan’s led 0-6 to 0-2 by the end of the first quarter. Carn responded through Liam Doherty and Daire Tully.

Eunan’s steamed ahead in the second quarter, outscoring their opponents 1-6 to 0-2. The goal came from Forde after 22 minutes, with both he and Cathal O’Brien also on target from frees.

James O’Donnell added a point for Eunan’s, while the powerful David Horgan and Brendan Horgan were also on target.

John Kealy came on as a sub after the break and hit a few early points, while another substitute, Cian Randles, found the net from a high ball to leave Eunan’s leading 2-18 to 0-6. Carn responded through Darragh McCormick and Paddy Monagle.

In the final quarter, goals from Cormac Finn and two goals from Pierce Glynn sealed a dominant display.

Steve Donahue added points for Eunan’s, along with marksman Cathal O’Brien.
