Hosts Aodh Ruadh went on a scoring spree in this impressive victory over visiting Dungloe at Fr Tierney Park.
The dominant home side led by 1-9 to 0-3 at the break and were on top in all sectors.
Aaron Cullen was particularly impressive for the winners, while Gareth Sheerin hit some fine scores as well.
For an outgunned Dungloe side, James Hartnett and Odhran Mulligan battled well but were no match for the lively Ballyshannon boys. Cullen was in fine form in the opening half, landing four points from play.
Danny Breen weighed in with 0-3, Tommy Clyne nailed 1-1, and Johnny Lin hit a point as Cian McDonald and Gareth Sheerin controlled midfield. For Dungloe, Mulligan and Hartnett replied with points.
Dungloe’s scoring rate picked up on the resumption, but so did Aodh Ruadh’s. The prolific Cullen landed six points, with two coming from frees, while Gareth Sheerin nailed three fine long-range frees.
Danny Breen and Cian McKenna were also on target. Mulligan, Cian McKelvey, and Hartnett replied for Dungloe.
