Realt na Mara's Michael McMahon and members of the Smyth family, Marie's sons Shane and David alongside grandson Lee.
The Smyth family were present at Gaelic Park on Saturday evening to present a sponsored match ball to the Bundoran side as they took on Naomh Muire in Division 2 of the All-County League.
Marie Smyth, (nee Granaghan), Ballyshannon Community Hospital and formerly Finner Avenue, Bundoran, passed away on Tuesday and was laid to rest on Friday at St Ninnidh's Cemetery following Mass of the Resurrection at Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea.
Marie’s family are steeped in GAA in Bundoran and they were all present as the Seasiders just came up short against the visitors 3-13 to 1-20.
“A beautiful and thoughtful gesture from the Smyth Family, who are sponsoring tonight's match ball in memory of their beloved mother and grandmother Marie Smyth, who sadly passed away during the week,” Realt na Mara Bundoran posted. “May Marie's gentle soul rest in eternal peace.”
Marie will be sadly missed by her sons Shane and David (Mary Teresa); grandchildren Zoe, Lee and Jay; brothers Seamie, Roy and Ben; sister Joan; brothers-in-law; sisters in law; nieces; nephews; godchildren; extended family and a large circle of friends. She is pre-deceased by her parents Jim and Kitty, husband Joe, brother Vincent and sisters Noeleen, Angela, Pauline and Helen.
