Pettigo GAA won Cash4Clubs funding
A representative from Pettigo GAA said a €2,000 grant from Flutter’s Cash4Clubs initiative would “greatly help expand our services and facilities.”
Flutter’s Cash4Clubs initiative is a programme supporting grassroots sports, and named Pettigo GAA as one of 19 recipients across Ireland to be awarded €2,000 in funding.
The funding helps local clubs improve facilities, purchase essential equipment, and expand coaching programmes to get more people involved in sport.

Ciarán Cassidy of Pettigo GAA said: “The grant we have received from Cash4Clubs will greatly help us to expand our services and facilities at Pettigo GAA. We are a small club in a rural community, and funding can be challenging, so grants like these are vital for the continued growth of our club.
“We have over 30 adults at each training session, so this grant will be used to fund our equipment, including footballs, training cones and markers, sets of coloured bibs and training costs. We’re embedded in the community, and we see this grant as being just as important for them as it is for our club.”
Local TD, Pat The Cope Gallagher, commented: “I’m delighted that Pettigo GAA are a recipient of €2,000 from the Cash4Club scheme. They do great work in Pettigo to foster our native games, and this money will be used to continue that good work.”
