St Michael's joint player/boss Daniel McLaughlin
Daniel McLaughlin says St Michael’s would immediately be turning their attentions to the three remaining SFC quarter-finals to get as much homework done as possible on their potential semi-final opponents.
McLaughlin, joint player/boss with Martin McElhinney at the Bridge, was speaking after watching his side dish out a very impressive 0-26 to 0-15 last-eight drubbing to MacCumhaills in Letterkenny on Saturday.

Having got off to a flier in O’Donnell Park and gone seven clear inside the first ten minutes, it was more or less plain sailing from that point on.
And McLaughlin admits that accelerated opening on the scoreboard was an early platform for victory.
“We got off to a great start, kicked a few two-pointers and that gave us a platform. MacCumhaills asked us some questions then in the third quarter, but thankfully, we eventually got on top of that.
“We played MacCumhaills earlier in the year and they went 11 up at the Bridge. We were very pleased going seven up and eventually seeing it out like we did.
“We have big competition for places as you seen coming in off the bench so that all bodes well”.
Having finished in the top four and avoided last weekend’s preliminary action, McLaughlin said that was an added advantage over their Twin Tons opposition to have that extra respite.
“You get the week off, you get to look at the other teams and unfortunately for MacCumhalls, they lost Kevin McCormick to a hamstring injury last time out as well. That was probably down to the extra game”.
St Michael’s lost a semi-final to Dungloe last season and even though they are back at that juncture, they aren’t looking too far down the road.
“We just took it game by game to see where we’d end up. We’re at where we were at last year and it’ll take another big performance, regardless of what comes our way, to make the final. But it’s nice to be first in the hat.
“So it’s feet up time now to get a look at the other three games”.
