Three Donegal men have helped Liverpool John Moores University/Edge Hill University into the final of the Corn na Mac Léinn Cup.

Naomh Pádraig Uisce Chaoin duo Jonathan Toye and Alan Clarke, and Ardara native and team captain Michael Mulreany are part of the Liverpool amalgamation, who will face New York Collegiate in the final today (Saturday) at 2.15pm.

LJMU/Edge Hill beat Cavan Institute in the semi-final on Friday afternoon by 1-17 to 0-16 on the DCU Sports Complex.

New York reached the final with a 3-12 to 2-13 win over MIC Thurles on Friday evening, with their team mainly made up of homegrown American players.

New York lost the final of the competition last year against South West College, who were promoted to the Trench Cup.

The game will be streamed live on the Higher Education GAA YouTube channel.
