CLG Chill Chartha are busy preparing for their 2026 Golf Classic which takes place on Friday, May 1 at Narin and Portnoo Links.

Organisers are inviting golfers to enjoy a fantastic day of sport, camaraderie and community spirit on one of the country’s finest links courses.

Proceeds from the event will go towards The Roland McDonald House Charity which provides a "home away from home" for families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at Children's Health Ireland (CHI) at Crumlin, Dublin.

Located on-site, it offers 20 bedrooms, allowing families to stay close to their children for weeks or months while supporting over 5,000 families since 2004.

“We’re looking for the support of as many as possible,” explained Martin McHugh, 1992 All-Ireland winner. “It’s great to be associated with Ronald McDonald House.

“It’s a brilliant charity that does unbelievable work in supporting families of ill children while they’re in hospital”.

John McNulty, former Kilcar senior team boss, added: “It’s such an important charity and we’re very proud to support them. They do amazing work in accommodating families of sick children in Dublin”.

Supporters are encouraged to gather friends, take part, and show their backing for the club. To register, contact Martin McHugh on 087 4266266.
