Jonny Carlin will be playing his club football back in Wicklow after transferring back to Barndarrig.
The Red Hugh’s man was the hero of the hour for the side in 2023 as they won the Wicklow Intermediate Football Championship.
Carlin scored a penalty in injury time as Barndarrig won the title in a 1-8 to 2-4 win over Annacurra, as he picked up the Man of the Match award.
Carlin also represented the Wicklow senior team in 2024 before moving back closer to home and was involved in the Donegal senior panel in 2025 as they won the Ulster title and reached the All-Ireland final.

Barndarrig were relegated back to Intermediate football the year after their win, losing to Blessington in the relegation play-off by 1-5 to 0-3.
Former county panellist Evan Broderick has also transferred back from Killybegs to Australian club St Finbarrs, while Glenswilly man Caoimhin Marley has also returned Down Under with Penrith Gaels.
