Francie Friel has joined the management team at Gaoth Dobhair which will be headed up by Ronan Mac Niallais.
Former Donegal SFC winner with Gaoth Dobhair was ratified as the manager at a meeting earlier this week.
Friel has been recruited as the coach by Mac Niallais, who was last year involved in the Gaoth Dobhair senior ladies management.
Last year, Friel was joint manager of his native Termon alongside Johnny McGinley. Friel had a previous spell as manager of Termon and has also managed Cloughaneely.
His new role sees Friel - who took the Termon ladies to All-Ireland glory in 2014 - following fellow Termon man Trevor Alcorn, who had the reigns in Magheragallon in 2022.
Garth Dobhair’s SFC bid last year came to an end with a 0-13 to 1-8 defeat by Naomh Conaill in a semi-final.
