Kilcar stalwarts Michael Hegarty and Conor McShane have both had transfer requests put to the Donegal GAA county board.

At last Monday night’s county committee meeting in Convoy, former Donegal star Hegarty’s (44) request to join the Naomh Ultan club was raised while the club’s 2017 winning full back Conor McShane (42) wishes to go to Four Masters.

Kilcar’s county board delegate Sean McGinley explained the club had no issue whatsoever with either departure as both are now working and living in the Dunkineely and Donegal Town areas.

Both requests will now go to the Donegal Competitions Controls Committee for ratification.
