Donegal LGFA Player of the Year nominations released

The winners of each category will be announced at their awards ceremony on Friday, 10th November in the Villa Rose, Ballybofey

Donegal LGFA Player of the Year nominations released

Karen Guthrie, Glenfin, has been nominated in the senior category.

Donegal LGFA have announced their top three nominations in their ‘Players’ Player of the Year’ categories as wel as their ‘Club Volunteer of the Year’ category.

The winners of each category will be announced at their awards ceremony on Friday, 10th November in the Villa Rose, Ballybofey.

The MC on the night is Charlie Collins followed by music with David James. Ulster President Gerry Doherty will be the special guest on the night. 

Players' Player of the Year nominees

The nominees in all four categories have been selected by their fellow players, who could not vote for their own team-mates.

The three nominees listed received the most votes from their fellow players in their respective categories; Senior, Intermediate, Junior A and Junior B.

Senior: Shauna McFadden, St Eunan's; Karen Guthrie, CLG Ghleann Fhinne; Michaela Breslin, Naomh Naille.

Intermediate: Kate O Donnell, Naomh Muire Íochtar Na Rosann; Lauren Carr, Gaeil Fhánada; Eimear Friel Ghaoth Dobhair.

Junior A: Ava Walsh, Naomh Padraig; Niamh Boyle, Naomh Columba; Sarah McGinley, Glenswilly; Aoibheann O'Connell, Na Dunaibh.

Junior B: Ellie Hegarty, Cill Chartha; Katie Dowds, Sean Mac Cumhaill; Eva Gallagher, Kilcar

Club Volunteer of the Year nominees: Mary Mc Devitt, CLG An Clochán Liath; Joanne Mc Dermott, Naomh Padraig Leifear; Adrian Mc Gettigan, An Tearmainn
