Shaun Paul Barrett has added Brendan Kilcoyne and Damien Devaney to his Donegal U-20 backroom team.

The Milford man was ratified as Leo McLoone’s successor last Monday night at the November sitting of the Donegal County Committee in Convoy.

And he’s now started to piece together his management team with current Ardara boss Devaney and Kilcoyne, who has previously worked at both senior level under Rory Gallagher and U-17 grade alongside Barrett’s son Luke, coming on board this week.

Barrett had a previous spell as Donegal Under-20 manager in 2020 when they lost to Tyrone in the Ulster final. He also guided Donegal to the Ulster MFC crown in 2020.

Barrett is currently coaching the Donegal IFC champions Downings who are in Ulster action this coming Sunday away to Ballyhaise at Kingspan Breffni Park.

The clash forms part of a double-header as Donegal SFC winners Naomh Conaill will square off against Cavan kingpins Gowna at the same venue later in the day.
