The trials for the 2024 International Rules series against the AFL Masters Australian team are due to take place and there will be a Donegal man as part of the Irish management team.
There are two Irish teams being selected - Over 40s and Over 50s - and Donegal Masters manager Mark Cannon has been named as part of the Irish Over 50s management team.
The trials for the Over 40s and Over 50s are taking place next weekend in Westmeath.
Counties were urged this week to send two trialists in each grade to the trials.
Ireland will play two tests against the Australians in 2024 - the first in Cavan and the second in Galway.
Speaking to Donegallive.ie Mark said: "It is nice to get involved with an All-Ireland team. We have trials next weekend in Mullingar and we will hopefully have Donegal players involved also. Each county can send two players to the trials for each team and then one will be selected as the final squads will be made up of 23 players with one per county."Mark Cannon
The management teams for both squads have been selected:
Over 40s:
Anthony McCarthy (Limerick)
Jimmy Galligan (Cavan)
Ronan Rocks (Derry)
Over 50s:
Anthony Carroll (Roscommon)
Kevin Hourican (Leitrim-Longford)
Mark Cannon (Donegal)
Rob Stewart (Cork)
