Jim McGuinness last took charge of Donegal at the 2014 All-Ireland SFC final
The draw for the Bank of Ireland Dr McKenna Cup 2024 will take place this Wednesday night.
Donegal, under the management of Jim McGuinness again, will learn their opponents for the season curtain-raiser, with the nine Ulster counties to be drawn into three groups of three from which the winners, and the best runners-up, will contest the semi-finals.
The launch and draw will take place at 7.15pm, on Wednesday, December 13, at the Armagh City Hotel.
Donegal have previously won the competition in 1963, 1965, 1967, 1975, 1985, 1991, 2001, 2002, 2009, 2010 and 2018, with McGuinness's side to take to the pitch at Fr Tierney Park in Ballyshannon on Sunday when they play Roscommon in a challenge match.
