Denis Doohan has been reappointed as the Cloughaneel senior football team manager for 2024.

Doohan was ratified at the club’s monthly meeting.

It will be his second year at the helm at Pairc Naomh Fionnan.

In 2023, Cloughaneely reached the preliminary quarter-finals in the senior football championship, but lost out 2-13 to 0-10 against Ardara.

Cloughaneely will play in Division 2 of the All-County Football League this year having been relegated last July from Division 1.

In December 2022, Doohan, a former Cloughaneely captain, was appointed to succeed Michael Lynch, who managed the team for six years.

Lynch has been installed as the Cloughaneely reserve manager with Kevin Scanlon taking on the under-20s.
