Donegal outclass Sligo to advance to All-Ireland Minor B semi-final

Donegal booked their place in the last four of the Tier 2 All-Ireland Football Championship with a ten-point away win over Sligo on Saturday afternoon

Donegal eased past the challenge of Sligo as they outclassed them throughout the course of the match. 

Donegal were always in control of the match as the sides would only be level on one occasion which was the case with a free from Sligo after four minutes with a free coming from Aaron Healy. 

Donegal lead at the break by seven points as they controlled the first half as they lead 9-2. 

The home side struggled to cope with the strength and power as Donegal moved the ball around during the first half with Conor McCahill proving to be major danger for his side while the game was bossed by Cathal Gallagher. 

The Four Masters corner forward McCahill was causing Sligo nightmares along with Tomas Carr who was also causing plenty of problems for Sligo. 

Sligo could only manage one point from play in the opening half which came on 26 minutes which was the last of half which left seven between the sides at the break. 

Donegal added the first point of the second out point from Donnachadh O Baoighill to extend the lead to eight points but Sligo could struggled to reply as took them ten minutes to add a second free from Healy. 

Despite only ten minutes into the second half the visitors controlled the second half and looked to on a different level to the Connacht side. 

Sligo added two points without reply to give them hope they of comeback with 12 minutes to play with a brace coming from Conor McDonagh. 

Despite the rally from Sligo they never re like winning the game and Donegal turned the screw with McCahill netting the only goal of the match on 58 minutes to ensure a comprehensive passage into the semi-final.
