Naomh Columba 3-6 Bundoran 1-7
Naomh Columba advanced in to the Donegal Intermediate Championship semi-final after overcoming Realt na Mara Bundoran in Mouncharles on Sunday afternoon on a 3-6 to 1-7 scoreline
With the breeze advantage in the first half, Naomh Columba took a three-point lead in the opening 10 minutes with Shane Callaghan and Aaron Doherty scoring from play, before Doherty followed up moments later from free.
Bundoran, who were minus Jamie Brennan on the day opened the scoring with Brandon Oates firing over on the 15th minute to settle his side.
In the 24 minute, the first goal of the afternoon came when Christopher Byrne was fouled, resulting in referee Connie Doherty to signal for a penalty which Doherty powered past Conor Carty.
Doherty raised another white flag before the half ended before Lanty Molloy kicked his first point of the afternoon in the 28 minute.
The returning Cian McEniff got the final score of the half, and his side's first of the game with Naomh Columba going in at the break with a 1-5 to 0-1 advantage.
The second half was 10 minutes old before we got the next score, which came as Pauric Hegarty glided through and got enough power on the kick to get another goal for the Glen men.
Bundoran rallied with three points in-a-row from Kyle McNulty and two from Mikey McEniff, but their purple patch didn't last long because in the 54th minute, an Eric Carr long-ball deceived everyone to end up in the back of the net for a Naomh Columba third goal.
Cian McEniff got a goal back before Pauric Hegarty took his tally to 1-1 with a nice point before two late strikes from Oisin Walsh and Mikey McEniff closed the gap but it wasn't enough as Naomh Columba prevailed to the last four of the Donegal IFC.
