Memorable performances from past Donegal Senior County finals

With the county final vastly approaching, we decided to take a look at just some of the standout individual performances in Donegal senior football county finals down through the years

David Meehan 1996 - Killybegs  

Not often a goalkeeper is awarded the county final Man of the Match or the Player of the Tournament, but they were awards duly deserved for Killybegs man David Meehan.  

It’s often regarded as probably the greatest-ever championship in Donegal with Killybegs having to play nine games to win their fourth title of the '90s.  

A clear goal chance denied by Eugene Doherty at the end of the first half was perhaps the key moment of the game as Killybegs went on to beat Naomh Columba on a 1-8 to 1-7 scoreline.
