Former Donegal star Mark McHugh
With Dermot McCabe set to be installed as new Westmeath boss later this evening former Donegal star Mark McHugh could be joining him in the Lake County dugout.
Former Cavan star McCabe bossed Gowna to SFC success in both 2022 and ‘23 and also acted as a selector for former Breffni boss Mickey Graham when they won the Ulster SFC in 2020.

McHugh has helped out at Galway outfit Moycullen this term and they’re looking forward to a SFC club final against Corofin on Sunday week. McHugh has senior intercounty experience having helped out with Davy Burke in Roscommon back in 2023.
