St Mary’s Convoy “Mothers and Others” team
St Mary’s Convoy made a landmark achievement this week, as their "Mothers and Others" squad participated in their first-ever international tournament.
The group, which was formed in 2009 under the LGFA's Gaelic for Mothers and Others (G4M&O) programme, is the longest-standing team of its kind in Donegal.
With around 24 players, ranging in age from 25 to 60, the team brings together women from diverse backgrounds and provides a weekly space for exercise and relaxation.

St Mary’s was the only team from Donegal selected to take part in the G4M&O Festival of Football Tournament, hosted by the Barcelona Gaels GAA this past weekend.
The group set off for Spain on Thursday, where they had the opportunity to not only play against teams from Midleton, Magheracloone, and Donoughmore but also to connect with fellow Gaelic football enthusiasts from across Europe.
The team managed to fund their trip through several fundraising initiatives and expressed their gratitude to local businesses and individual sponsors who made their journey possible.
Managed by coach Mark McCarron, the St Mary’s squad proudly represented their community on the international stage.
