Natasha McCole and her Na Fianna teammates after winning the UAE championship
Ardara GAA is beaming with pride as former ladies’ player Natasha McCole, hailing from Narin, captained Na Fianna to a championship win in the United Arab Emirates.
Natasha, who played for Ardara at all levels from underage to senior, brought her dedication and skill to the international stage, leading her team to glory. Known for her tireless commitment on the pitch, Natasha’s leadership as captain is no surprise to those who watched her excel in the green and gold jersey.
The club fondly noted her father’s sideline encouragement, a hallmark of her playing days at Ardara, and joked that Natasha might miss that familiar voice while abroad.
Abu Dhabi Na Fianna GAA Club, established in 1995, is the largest GAA club in the Middle East region. The club competes annually in the Middle East League and Championship competitions -which take place in a host of Middle Eastern countries.
The club is affiliated with Zayed Sport's City and currently trains there on a weekly basis; in addition to regularly hosting rounds of the Middle East League and Championship at the venue.
Ardara GAA extended warm congratulations to Natasha and her Na Fianna teammates on their achievement.
