Cloughaneely's Conor Coyle was right corner-back for DCU as they came through extra-time to beat Cork Munster Technological University in the semi-final of the Fresher A Football Championship.

DCU won out after extra-time on a scoreline of 1-11 to 0-13 after extra-time, with the score having been 1-7 to 0-10 after the hour. Coyle was part of the Cloughaneely side that won the Donegal IFC crown last year following a replayed final win over Dungloe.
