Coláiste na Carraige got over the line against neighbours St Catherine’s Vocational School following a tight tussle at Fintra in the Faul Cup semi-final.

As the final whistle blew a bit of confusion on score but the referee after conferring with both teams came to the correct score as Coláiste na Carraige advanced to the Ulster final by the minimum with Michael Callaghan hitting the winning point.
Christopher Mulligan got St Catherine's off to a fast start with a point from a free after two minute and then in the third minute Evan Campbell's long range shot went into the top corner of the net to put the Coláiste na Carraige 1-0 to 0-1 in front.
That was followed by an Alex McBrearty point from play with Michael Callaghan and Christopher Mulligan having a mini shootout in the art of the free-kicks as the half-time score was St Catherine's 0-5 Coláiste na Carraige 1-5.
St Catherine's got back to level two minutes from time, with points from Mathew Huntley and Jack Hegarty to set up a nail-biting finish. Michael Callaghan kicked a fine effort to put the Coláiste na Carraige ahead and they held on to win by inches.
