Maggie Farrelly will referee the Leitrim-London game in Division 4
Maggie Farrelly will make history this weekend when she becomes the first woman to referee a game in the Allianz League.
The Glenfin clubwoman has been confirmed as the referee for the Division 4 game between Leitrim and London.
At Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada in Carrick-on-Shannon, Farrelly will make her latest piece of history in the game.
A native of Laragh in County Cavan, Farrelly is one of 40 referees shortlisted for refereeing Allianz League games.
Last November, Farrelly took charge of the Cavan SFC final replay between Gowna against Ramor United at Kingspan Breffni Park.
She has also refereed Ulster Championship underage fixture and games in the Dr McKenna Cup.
Meanwhile, Maurice Deegan from Laois will referee Sunday's Division 1 game between Kerry and Donegal in Killarney.
