Keadue Rovers have been reinstated to the Brian McCormick Sports Cup.

Keadue lodged a protest after their 2-1 defeat to Kilmacrennan Celtic in the Gweedore Area Shield final.

Keadue’s appeal that Kilmacrennan Celtic fielded an ineligible player has been upheld by the Donegal Junior League.

The Central Park club have been awarded a 3-0 win and will now face Kildrum Tigers in a Brian McCormick Cup semi-final next month.

Keadue’s protest centred on their belief that a player who lined out for Kilmacrennan played, and scored, for another club in the group stage of the competition.
