The local derby in Eamonn Byrne Memorial Park was decided in the second half as Naomh Columba pulled away for an easy victory.

The sides were level at the break - 1-7 to 2-4 with Declan McGuire and Martin Cunningham (penalty) for Glen and Hugh McFadden goaling for the home side.

A third goal from Ryan Gillespie early in the second half was the spur for the Glen men to pull away and register their second win of the season.

Cloughaneely took a big scalp at home against MacCumhaill's, thanks to a late goal from Mark Harley.

MacCumhaill's led by 1-5 to 0-4 at the break, thanks to points from Martin O'Reilly and a goal from Gavin Reilly.

The home side, however, recovered in the second half and thanks to points from John McGarvey, Martin Maguire, Darren Ferry and Cian McFadden, they got back in the contest before Harley's late winner.

Glenfin suffered their second defeat with Malin much too strong on Monday. The visitors led by 1-8 to 0-4 at the break and never looked in trouble thereafter against a Glenfin side who were again without Frank McGlynn.

The busiest man at the Banks on Monday was Jimmy White as he flashed red on five occasions as visitors Milford, managed by former Naomh Muire man, Danny O'Donnell, recorded a signifcant win.

In the end Milford finished with 13, losing Sean Black in the first half and Luke Barrett in the second while Naomh Muire had only 12 at the end, losing Adam O'Brien and Thomas Duffy in the opening half and Sean Point Gallagher in the second.

A goal from Johnny Logue left Milford ahead by 1-4 to 0-2 at the break and with a numerical advantage, they maintained their advantage to the finish to give their first league points.
