Gardaí are asking witnesses and road-users who have dash-cam footage who were around the area at the time to contact Gardaí in Bunbeg at 074-9531333.

A cyclist was struck by a car in Annagry, with the driver making off.

The incident occurred on the R295 Annagry East, near the graveyard at around 4:05pm on Thursday, April 24. The cyclist was struck by a small silver car, who failed to remain at the scene and has yet to come forward.

It is believed they kept driving towards the Gweedore direction. The cyclist's injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

Gardaí are asking witnesses and road-users who have dash-cam footage who were around the area at the time to contact Gardaí in Bunbeg at 074-9531333. Alternatively, they can contact the Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 111.
