South-west Donegal drivers might end up out of pocket to get paint removed from their cars.
There was an unreported paint spill on the roadside between Ardara and Glenties on Wednesday evening and drivers in the area got splattered.
“A few people got in touch with me yesterday after their cars got splashed with paint on Wednesday evening on the Glenties to Ardara road,” Cllr Brian Carr of the Glenties MD, posted.

“There was a paint spill that wasn’t reported, and sadly, it’s going to cost them to get their cars properly cleaned. Since there’s no one to claim from, the only advice I could get was to ring the Pothole/Minor Claims number and put in a claim that way. Just wanted to let people know in case anyone else was affected!"
