Sadness at passing of West Donegal businessman Stephen ‘Ann’ O’Donnell

The peaceful death has occurred of Stephen ‘Ann’ O’Donnell, Rann na Feirste, surrounded by his loving family in the Donegal Hospice.

Mr O’Donnell founded O’Donnell Fuels Crolly (MACE) in the 1980s. The family also own service stations in Kilmacrennan and Illistrin, Letterkenny.

Predeceased by their first born baby son, grandchild Pio, parents Peadar and Ann and his brother Patsy.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Bríd, sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen (Róisín), Gavin (Moya) Damien (Orlaith), grandchildren; Caoimhe, Ultán, Ruadhán, Bláithín, Croía agus Áine. His sisters Bridie, Margaret, Caitríona, Anne Marie and brother John.

Deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by his nephews, nieces, brothers in law, sister in law, extended family and many friends.

Reposing at his late residence in Rann na Feirste (F94 F9W9) from midday today and Tuesday.

Rosary on both nights at 8pm. Family time only following the Rosary and on the morning of the funeral please.

Requiem Mass at midday on Wednesday, August 13, in St Mary’s Star of the Sea church, Anagaire (F94 KO22) with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu of flowers if so desired to the The Irish Motor Neuron Disease Association, Dungloe Community Hospital & Donegal Hospice.

Maireann a bhean chéile Bríd agus triúr mac - Stephen (Róisín), Gavin (Moya), Damien (Orlaith) chomh maith le ceathrar deirfiúr, Bridie, Margaret, Caitríona, Anne Marie agus deartháir amháin John chomh maith le garpháistí, Caoimhe, Ultán, Ruadhán, Bláithín, Croía agus Áine.

Dhéanfar é a fhaire sa bhaile i Rann na Feirste ón mheán lae amárach (Dé Luain) agus Dé Máirt.

Beidh an paidrín ar an dá oíche ag a hocht a chlog. Ní bheidh faire ar bith sa teach ó i ndiaidh am paidrín go dtín mheán lae agus ní bheidh faire ar bith sa teach maidin an tórraimh.

Cuirfear sa tseanreilig é i ndiaidh aifreann an mheán lae i dteach pobail Réalt na Mara in Anagaire ar an Chéadaoin.
Bláthanna teaghlaigh amháin. Is féidir síntiús a thabhairt más mian chuig The Irish Motor Neuron Disease Association, Otharlann Pobail an Chlochán Léith agus Óispís Dhún na nGall.
