‘Collisions with deer’ in west Donegal over Christmas period

There were collisions with deer on two roads in west Donegal over the festive period.
The collisions happened around the Dobhair area on a 60km stretch of road. There are no signs indicating that there are deer in the area, according to local Councillor John Sheamais Ó Fearraigh.
“I will ask Donegal County Council to add signage along this stretch and other local roads too due to these accidents,” he said. Cllr Ó Fearraigh will highlight the issue at the next meeting of the Glenties Municipal District.
