Organisers say they have a jam-packed weekend of everything film on offer

Lights, camera, action for the Rathmullan Film Festival

There's a jam-packed programme for this year's event which is sure to draw movie buffs from near and far to Rathmullan

It's going to be a case of lights, camera and action at one of Donegal's premier seaside resorts later this week as the sixth annual Rathmullan Film Festival gets under way.

"We are super excited to be returning to a fully in-person festival and have a jam-packed weekend planned. Established in 2017, we have continued to grow as a participatory festival located in the heart of Rathmullan," said a spokesperson for the organisers.

They want the movie-loving public to join them this mid-term break, from February 16-19, for a weekend of exciting events, workshops, sports fun, and great films!

Book your tickets online: rathmullan.ie/filmfest

This festival is a volunteer-led, not-for-profit, participatory festival

It features four days of‭ ‬great film screenings‭ ‬‭‬from local films‭, ‬documentaries‭ ‬and Irish shorts to new releases‭ ‬and ‬old favourites‭ ‬‭as well as food‭ ‬and‭ ‬film experiences‭,‬‭ ‬industry talks‭, ‬sports fun‭ ‬and‭ ‬pub entertainment‭.‬

The organisers are also looking for volunteers to help with this year's event

"We are so excited to be back in person and we have a call for volunteers to help us with the smooth running of the events. As you know, the festival is run on a volunteer basis and we need plenty of helping hands during those four days.

"If you, or anyone you know, are in/around Rathmullan and have a few hours to spare between 16-19 February 16-19, please join the festival crew.
