As part of the funding, Donegal County Council will contribute an extra €130,700 to the allocated budget of €1,176,302.
A total of €23 million in funding for local authorities was allocated to local authorities by the Department of Housing, Heritage, and Local Government to carry out adaptations, extensions, and other improvements to their existing social housing stock.
The only Local Electoral Areas to receive more funding were Cork City, Dublin City, and Tipperary County Council. Dublin City received the most funding at €3,157,325.
Leitrim County Council will receive the least funding at €173,850.
The Minister for Housing, James Browne, said: “This funding will significantly improve housing conditions for older tenants and those with disabilities. It will also help tackle overcrowding in social housing and offer an alternative for those currently living in overcrowded private accommodation.
