Criminal damage incidents occurred near Lifford

Beer bottles were thrown at cars from a Lexus vehicle in two separate incidents of criminal damage near Lifford.

The incidents happened in the space of approximately ten minutes on Saturday, June 21.

Firstly, a driver was travelling on the N15 from towards Lifford from the Castlefinn direction at The Haw, when at approximately 9.15am, an oncoming, brown-coloured Lexus slowed down and a male threw two glass bottles from the open sunroof at his car, before travelling onwards in the direction of Castlefinn.

The bumper of the victim’s car was damaged as a result of the incident.

Secondly, at approximately 9.23pm a driver was travelling from Lifford on the N14 Letterkenny Road when their vehicle met an oncoming dark-coloured Lexus IS200. A beer bottle was thrown from the passenger side rear window of the Lexus, and it collided with the driver’s windscreen, causing it to crack.
