Event at The Old Rectory in Inver has now been cancelled
A National Heritage Week event due to take place at the Old Rectory in Inver has been cancelled following the death of a teenager in Inver.
Inver and Mountcharles Church had scheduled a history talk from noted historian and former President of the Donegal Historical Society, Helen Meehan, on Saturday, August 23.

An online statement by the Inver and Mountcharles Church read: “Due to the recent tragic event in our parish, and as a mark of respect to all those affected, we are cancelling the Heritage Walk scheduled for this Saturday afternoon.
“Our thoughts are with the family and the entire community at this difficult time.”
A teenager had been pronounced dead at Sligo University Hospital following an incident at a rural location in Inver on the evening of Monday, August 18, where a male youth had sustained serious injuries.
